Another treasure by Patricia Reilly Giff!
Jayna is orphaned in 1944 when, after they have lost their parents, her brother is MIA in WWII. Jayna begins a journey to find a link to family, search for her brother to return, and the perfect soup recipe.

A perfect edition to a unit on WWII to discuss stateside events. Wonderful explanations of rations and how families coped.

As much as we love Mo, this final book of the Knuffle Bunny trio was not as delightful as the others. The end notes were the best parts.

The wonder of WONDER.... I love this book.

The original version of the star crossed lovers, from Persia. This version contains many examples of symbolism to examine with middle grades. Would be great to include in a comparative unit with Romeo & Juliet and West Side Story.

3rd-5th grades were all beginning their poetry units in the CCCS so I relished being able to take them gem from my shelf.
How I love this aloof cat.

Wait let me back in.

Caution. You will desperately want to run to a shelter to rescue a cat after reading... >*•*<
