We l-o-v-e Pete the Cat!! And, we're going to love him even more this year in our lower grades as he introduces the way cool skills of addition (and by reverse subtraction). He also reminds that changes don't bother us, we just go with the flow and remember its all good!

We get a surprise sighting of a special button in Pete's life at the end of the book. My Kinders will think its Groovy!!

Loved the suspense of finding out who each tape was for.



I "had" to read Gatsby in high school and didn't enjoy it. So, when asked again to read it 20 years later for a gifted lit class I was not looking forward to it at all.
I will say that I understood the characters a little more and the symbolism made more sense to me. However; like Moby Dick, it remains on my list of required books that I regret having to have read.
