FOUR WEEKENDS AND A FUNERAL
Ellie Palmer

Thank you @bookedwiththeemilys, GP Putnam, and Ellie Palmer for the #gifted review copy.

I absolutely loved this book!! I was smiling, teared up, and laughed while reading, (which says a lot for a book that handles both death and cancer.) Ellie Palmer handled the tough topic of BRCA1 and the worry that comes with being a child of a breast cancer survivor (or victim) with a gentle hand. Alison’s thoughts and emotions were beautifully written. The grief that Adam felt for the loss of a friend that was once so important in his life but had drifted apart was so real.

Along with that, the romcom element is perfection. It had the feels of the very best classic romcom movies.  Alison’s situation was hysterical and Adam was the perfect dead pan partner.

I would read ten more books with these two!! Don’t miss this one! (And it is a BOTM add on this month so go grab it!)

SALT
L.A. Ferro

Thank you @laferro for the opportunity to read your book and the #gifted copy. These thoughts are my own.

This is my second book by L.A. and I’m completely hooked on her writing and characters. In SALT we have FMC Cameron Salt, a 21yo fashion student living with her late father’s best friend, MMC Everett Callahan, lawyer and itinerant coach of the Bulldogs minor league baseball team. They are more than roommates; however, as Cameron has had feelings for Everett since her 17th birthday and Everett has felt the same since her 21st birthday.

Aside from the romance (spicy af) there is an underlying mystery going on and that subplot was so interesting! I couldn’t wait to find out what was going on!!

MAD LOVE
Willow Aster

Thank you to Willow Aster and Valentine PR for my #gifted copy.

Wow! This is my first Willow Aster novel but I will be back in spades. I cannot wait for the rest of the Single Dads Playbook series because I fell for each of the guys.
This emotional and heart wrenching story had me in its grasp and didn’t let go. The way I fell so hard for Weston Shaw… 😅 And, I felt so deeply for Sadie Chapman. (Btw I LOVED that they call each father by their last names… adorbs!)
The situationship just worked for me. I also really enjoyed the chemistry between the guys, obsessed with these guys.
