Incredibly amusing and well worth listening to Toms own narration of the book. His impressions of his own dad are hilarious and the book as a whole had me laugh out loud more than once.

Two unlikable girls and two likeable boys hang out and fall in love and it’s a happy ending despite the girls being classic literary sad girls. Still very readable but you can’t help but feel like Rooney is trying to sound more intelligent than you are. While I enjoyed reading it, I don’t get the mega hype of Rooney and for Irish love stories I’d recommend Emer McLysaght instead. Far more amusing and less pretentiousness.

Really struggled to enjoy the goshawk nature talk due to the authors discussion of covid and lockdowns 2020.
