A beautifully written and thought provoking book. If you like the No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series you'll probably like this.

A deceptive title - no actual cricket death at all and the mystery wasn't anything to do with the cricket - and again not the best of the Phryne Fisher books. Too many characters with not enough to distinguish them from each other. Hoping the next book will be back to the usual standard!

Not my favourite of the Phryne Fisher series. I read these for the light mystery tone and this one got bogged down in Jewish theology.
