Fun easy read

5 stars for the clever bits, 3 stars for the overall story. Just too many bits and bobs going on for me. It could have done with a tighter storyline. But I did love the bookworms :)

I'm really disappointed in this one. I loved the Sign of Seven trilogy and this sounded like it might be just as good. It's not. In fact, it's the same story, just revamped and weaker.

The characters seem a bit unreal, the love story is watery, and the suspense and build up just weren't there for me. I also didn't really like the main female character - too bouncy and chirpy. It all generally felt like it was written in a bit of a hurry with not enough thought and detail for the characters or the storyline. It's not bad - just nowhere near her best.

I don't know if Nora Roberts has lost the edge, or if she's writing too many books, but the Inn trilogy was just a poor advert for her own inn, and this is a let down too. If you haven't read the Sign of Seven trilogy, read that instead of this.
