of the three i've read, this is probably my least favourite elizabeth acevedo ig. ranking her books feels so pointless, though, and they're all masterpieces.
can't quite remember how far i got but it was definitely over halfway. didn't dislike this, just wasn't really feeling it and was taking ages to read so when my kindle unlimited month ended i just decided to cut my losses. probably would have been a 3 star. just deeply average.
oh my goshhhh i loved this so much more than i was expecting. katsa, po and bitterblue are my everything. po and katsa, young adult fantasy couple of all time truly. tbh i have a feeling it's gonna take me a minute to get into the sequel purely because my faves won't be in it. ik a lot of people have read this and it's semi-popular on tiktok but it still feels super underrated.
