I really enjoyed this retelling. The thing that made it lose 5 stars was for the first part it was in modern english, then when we entered part 2 (where the play begins) we switch between modern and Shakespearean english. I understand this is to follow the play and its lines, but it really throws off the flow of the book.

This book is going on the shelf. I enjoyed it overall more then Ally's first novel. It walked the line between real and spiritual, and picked a side in the end. I feel like a second read would make the confusing parts more understandable though.

I really liked this book. It is also a great companion to The Forest At The Heart of Her Mage, as it is set in the same universe. It felt tighter then the other novel which I appreciated a lot. It was interesting reading this after (as it was published first, but takes place after) and picking up all the details and history.

An emotional, tough, and needed read about the radium girls. It basically covers their history in painstaking detail while still being captivating.

When I started this book I thought I wouldn't finish it. It didn't grab me right away, but then it did and I couldn't put it down. It is very well written, interesting plot, and cute romance.

I enjoyed this story. I will say it falls more into the young adult writing of new adult, which as times can be annoying. I think there's too much exposition dialogue, too much exposition in general about things that are brought up once and never again, and there's weird time jumping. For example, and event happens, then its a day after the event, then its hours after the event. I hope that was a placement error that never got caught and not intentional.

Nevertheless, I did enjoy the read. Could be improved in some areas, but the core story and ideas are excellent.

How to Get a Girlfriend (When You're a Terrifying Monster)

The writing isn't all that great and I can't get past it.

Another great read from Mary Roach. I've heard a lot of the concepts mentioned and some of the studies, but it was a good read that expanded on them. It's a nice overall introduction that doesn't go too deep into any one subject/study, but gives you enough information to get the jist.

To be honest, was hoping this one would be better. The writing was okay, and the story would've benefitted from being longer.
