Really interesting history that isn't about something you often see written about.

I really liked this by the end, but it was hard to get into because of the ever shifting viewpoints.

Very sweet, gettign progressively zaney as the plot goes on, but I like it that way.

I love when you get a great setup, like this one, and then the author throws a twist in the first third of the story. It's great to get to see how the twist plays out, rather than having the twist at the very end where it just leaves you hanging. This was a very enjoyable and compelling read. The ending, however, was a little too tidy, a little too handy, a little too "and now we'll all have world peace." Still, I enjoyed it.

I love this slightly less than Forsythe's last book, Pokko & the Drum, but it's similarly beautiful, strange, and just a good story.

A light friendship story takes a turn for the very serious. I'll be honest, I liked this book better before I read the afterword and learned which kid was the author's self-insert. I think I would have been better off not knowing that, and thinking the other one was the self-insert, which was what I had thought while reading.

Very strange, but in an achingly familiar way. The last essay reads like the pep talk I really really needed.

Love our spunky protagonist. Nothing super new is done in this book, but what is done is done well, so I'll forgive it.

Loved this a-historical romance. Couldn't put it down! Our dashing lad is a bit tiresome in figuring out what he wants, but I love his journey anyway, and the way he cares for his sister feels very genuine. Plus I love that we don't have a monogamous expectation at any point.

A very sweet early reader graphic novel! I look forward to future adventures of these two cupcake sisters.
