Given motivation, you can make your own wishes come true. I like it. 

could be a fun read aloud to prek or kindergarten. Don't love the term "cuckoo-bonker-pants" though, sounds ablest. Other than that, good showing from Daywalt.

Characters: No one is white, few are straight, all are complex.
World-building: Well done, and without long exposition about it.
Bonus: Kick-ass warrior women! Sweet romantic subplots! Lots of Spanish mixed into conversation! Monsters and quests! 

I'm kicking myself for starting to read a trilogy before it's fully published, because now I will pine incessantly for the next installment.

A bit twee, but sweet

All the pairings come together in a lovely way that I enjoyed greatly. I kinda wish they hand't all grown up, but that's what people do I guess.

I find this little book moving, but also a bit disconcerting.
