"If you want to burn down hell you must learn to play the devi's game"
It took me a minute to find which movie of "retelling this one was" because like I said more times I don't read synopsis or the back of the book keeps it intresting ;). But once I did figure it out it was like so obvious, my brain was just incredibly slow. I sent like 15 messages of realization to my girlfriend at like 2 am. This book did have more plot than the other one had. It gave it more dept and it wasn't trying to rush the plot to get to the romance. I really liked the overall storyline and flow. The only thing i'd note is that it was really hard keeping track off all the characters mentioned or at one's side and who was on who's side etc. I don't know if that was intentional but it bothered me because I had to pause and think back on who was who again. Further I enjoyed it and give it about the same rating as the other book of this series.

Soooo we're getting back into my dark romance era because god I love it. I loved that they added all of the names of the original Peter Pan story and ofc the 🍃 being called pixie and it's in dust form iconic. The only thing in this book that was mildly annoying was the male narrators voice the women's voice was amazing though. Where's the fan and can I have it because god I love dark romance. Sometimes I had second hand embarrassement because of the way the spicy scenes were described and told. Also why are we romanticising being kidnapped, tortured, recieving death threats and then forgiving said kidnapper like yes it's dark romance but can we have morals. Yes that was a joke I loved it ahah. WHY DID HE RUB HIS CUM ON HER LIKE FUCKING MASSAGE OIL thats the only thing that bothered me The plot was minimal but still very enjoyable. Spoilers for the ending here -> Isn't her still dating James like insest with James and John being siblings or is it not. I'm also so biased though because I finished Icebreaker earlier this week and hated the pregnancy plot but here I found it fitting and loving it. Overall this book made me giggle and be happy which is good.

Holy moly I did it and my god do I have thoughts on this book. First of the bat a question everyone who gave this book 5 stars did we even read the same Fucking book?! I think like Anastasia the people who gave this 5 stars need therapy. If I could take off my ears and not listen to this I so would. But I like torturing myself so I pushed through it's awsome to make schoolwork while listening to this, because the book is already more boring than my schoolwork. From some cute moments here and there the rest is straight up bad writing and disgusting. Anastasia is the most childish person sometimes like oh god communicate please. There's more sex than there is plot and both are still written terribly. The thing is this book also talks about eating disorders and thats something we all should collectivly do more having seen multiple people including myself struggle with this but I would've loved if it gave a more realistic side of it and spend more time on it. The only people I like in this book in order are: The dog, Henry, Stacie's mom and dad, the other hockey guys and Lola. Also what the fuck is the most stupid nickname she could give him Bub like what the fuck it's disgusting it sounds like talking to a baby. The best scene in this book was the part where Nate finally got to slap Aaron across the face. Love that she did atleast won the Olympics but tell me why they had to put a baby at the end like I'm suffering and them also reffering to her as winnie the pooh like lord don't discriminate that bear. Also why did the book end with a proposal like yes I get it but please atleast also give us the marriage scene then. I'm glad this is over and yes I liked the suffering it made me focus on my schoolwork and cleaning my room that I most definitely had to finish. Even though I will despise this book I can't help but admit that that I did giggle here and there to some lines or scene's. And I might have cried but don't worry that was at the part where her parents where supporting her through thick and thin and everything she went through and even her dad supporting Nate through his games while his own father didn't I think that was the most beautiful in this book. And with that said my rant is over.

Omg why just why this book has left me speechless and the first book of this series that I actually managed to fully read and not switch over to audiobook format for. But holy shit a lot happened in this book and hard to keep this spoiler free. But this book is for me topping the first book and second book of the shatter me series. And this book is the first one where I'm not constantly being annoyed at violet or the continues mentioning of her being frail or tiny. Rebecca Yarros finally gained some trust in Violet. I think in my standards the end was a bit rushed and left me quite confused so I might reread that to figure it out. Okay I came back from rereading and yes it does seem to be confusing but I get it more now. Either way I can't wait for the 4th book I need all my answers Now if not yesterday.

If ya like saying bloody sapphics a dozen times this book is for you. It basically has two running plots which make the book a lot more intresting. They're investigating a murder and also trying to help the mc's fall in love. Its a small town romance with a witchy and paranormal vibe. If you've loved The very secrete society of irregular witches I think you would love this book too and if you've not read it yet please do I think you'll like it if ya liked this one. This book could have probably made it to a 5 stars if harlow's sister isn't as hateble as she was to me. And if they gave us a clear conclusion to a certains persons romance at the end of the book.

I saw this book at my sisters and she seemed to love it so far and I get it. Its awsome I can't wait to get my hands on the second one and the third. I think the relationship with Briar and Filore is written very well considering Fi's background of being traumatized by her ex. I loved the particular style of writing and can always enjoy a dual pov. For anyone who loves retellings of famous stories I would certainly recommend this one as a very nice sleeping beauty retelling.
