Great book! the characters were well developed, and the story builds slowly around an intricate plot. I'm not sure if this is going to be a series or not, but I hope so. I look forward to visiting Wheeler again soon.

Windchill is the 6th installment in the Cullen series, with a fast paced, twisty plot that kept me guessing right up to the end. Out of all the Cullen books so far, Windchill is my favorite. I liked the format of having a quick solve at the beginning, followed by a longer, tougher case. Cullen matures and evolves into the "team player" his superiors have wanted him to be and the dynamic of Cullen and sidekick Buxton make for a good team. I have to say, they're really inept at self-defense. They both need a course in S**t-Kicking 101.

The plot was tightly worked, very straightforward without much deviation from solving the crime. While Cullen's personal life has a larger role in the previous books, Sharon has only a small part in this one and even less about Bain. And really, there really isn't room for it in Windchill, it would've bogged down the story.

Although I confess, I missed Bain, the man everyone loves to hate.

This review isn't going to be as detailed as it ought to be - I finished the book a week ago and I've forgotten most of what I was going to say. I really enjoyed the book, the plot was well done, I love catching up with the gang, the characters really "make" the book for me.

That being said, there wasn't a whole lot of Hercules & Owen's tricks in this one, although I loved when
SpoilerHercules braved the icky snow to get into the truck through the windshield. Love that cat
.

A great addition to one of my favorite series, can't wait for the next.

Great book, a fun read with great scenery, a twisty plot, and the sort of eccentric characters you'd expect from the Scottish highlands.

This was my second attempt at reading this book, the first time I only made it a few chapters. I'm glad I stuck with it this time, it turned into a darn good story. I think it could benefit from a little bit of editing; the book felt like it was way too long and there were some parts that didn't add to the story. But overall, I liked the characters (for some reason, I kept picturing Claudel as Clouseau) and although I'm not familiar with Montreal, the descriptions were vivid.

Even better than the first!

Cute premise but the characters are unlikeable and 2 dimensional. Very short story, but I could only manage about half of it before deciding I didn't like it enough to finish.
