Solid three star rating. Writing was well done, Gothic tale that grabbed my interest, and something worth reading. The story makes me want to read more from this author. If it wasn’t for the TBR game I created, I probably wouldn’t never have picked this book up because I would not have known about it. Looking forward to reading more.

5 star read for sure! Plot twist within the first page and a definite page turner, that you just don’t want to put down. Keeps you questioning the characters as you read, making you think you might have figured it out until you find out you didn’t at all. Great use of flashbacks and present day storytelling. Wish I could read it for the first time again!

Solid 4 stars. Fast short story/novella with a sweet background story! Gives depth to Elantris.
