I can't remember if it's YA or MG... A little romance.

Great for lovers of Hunger games or Cinder or The Red Queen! I can't wait for the sequel!

HP with more drama and romance.

MG/YA

The characters and story weren’t really compelling, but I still finished the book. I enjoyed the essay and recipes at the end.

MG

Mystery, Racial Injustice, Zaney Grandmother...

Who could ask for more.

For real, this book spoke to me on many levels. It was unbelievable timely in that it discusses injustices on black people by white people. It expertly discusses how complicated relationships can be and teaches us that doing the right thing is hard, even when there are consequences for doing right (and doing wrong).

Fun story about an alternate reality filled with fantasy races like mer-people, sprites, and gargoyles. Takes place in the Pacific NW.

Most importantly, the book discusses racial injustices that are so pertinent through a veil of fantasy.

Would defiantly read Morrow again.

It took me a minute to get into this one, but once I did, I was hooked.

Cute middle grades fantasy.

Fun twists and turns. Sweet relationships.
