MG- So great! This is my second Ramee novel, and I am a fan!

As an introvert and a formerly very, very shy kid, I could completely relate to Jenae's stress around being the center of attention.

It is always so comforting to read a book that speaks to your story and feelings. If you've ever felt stress and anxiety about public speaking or making new friends, I highly recommend this book!

Sure, this may be fiction, and it may take place in a Texas, not a Wisconsin, but this book feels eerily similar to current events. This book lets us into the loves of a family and community hit by racism and white ambivalence. The characters are strong and beautifully written. The sheer grit and determination of Tracy is an inspiration.

Having a hard time deciding which Acevedo book is my favorite...

This story is beautiful. Must read.
