I was really excited about this book because the cozy mystery world does not have many authors of color. However, two chapters in I was very uncomfortable with how the black characters were being portrayed. After doing some digging, I found out that this book was written by a half white/half Latino man who wanted to "fill a niche" in this genre. I don't know what the author's intentions were with the characters, but the negative stereotypes were too much. I won't be finishing this book or continuing with the series. 

My favorite story in this collection is Night on the Galactic Railroad. I'm not sure if I am missing the hype or if this wasn't a great translation. There were beautiful and heartfelt moments, and some of the writing was gorgeous. However, I didn't find any of the stories to be unforgettable. 

Once again, epic and wonderful. This one dragged a bit more in places, but overall I adore this book.

I loved this cozy! There was great action, mystery, and tension. I thought it was well paced, and I loved the character arcs.

This was a fun cozy, but I didn't find it as good as the first book in the series. The plot wasn't as believable even though I did enjoy my time reading it.
