This was a fun story! Dr. Wortle hired Mr. Peacocke has a teacher, and we learn that he and his wife are hiding a terrible secret. Dr. Wortle has to decide to throw them out or help them. A scandal ensues!
This plot was a cozy twisty turny plot. The characters were well fleshed out with great arcs. I loved the exploration of the themes of religious morality and social mores. Trollope's writing style is great, and the dialogue is so well done!

I very much enjoyed the first two books in this series, so I was very excited to read this finale! I did enjoy returning to this world and getting to spend time with some of the characters. Other characters were frustrating, or I felt I didn't need POV chapters for them. This one is very relationship heavy, which I felt took away from the plot and wasn't necessary. The climax felt a bit underwhelming. Mephi is still my favorite.
Book 1 is my favorite out of the trilogy, and I think it works as a standalone, which made the second and third book pale in comparison. I still recommend this series, but this wasn't as strong of a book as I was hoping.
Thank you to Orbit and NetGalley for providing a finished copy and an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I want the time I spent reading this back. There were two or three lines that were good, but the rest was so cliche. Some poems rhymed for no reason, and the formatting of the poetry was so random and didn't feel purposeful.

This was such an entertaining adventure from beginning to end. The Adventures of Amina a-Sirafi is a swash-buckling historical fantasy. I loved the themes of found family, dark magic, and demon husbands! This was less serious than the Daevabad trilogy, but I didn't mind because it was so much fun. The worldbuilding was phenomenal, and the character dynamics were a blast.

This was my first Megan E. O'Keefe book, and it will not be my last. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, so I was in for a pleasant surprise. We follow a few characters, but the main character, Sanda, is so fascinating. We also have more POVs and a snarky AI ship. The author kept me surprised at the plot twists and kept me guessing as to where the story was headed. There was one POV that I didn't care about, especially because I didn't fully understand why she was included in this book, but I feel as though that will be touched upon more in book 2. This book was more light-hearted than I anticipated, but I really enjoyed that. The book was well paced, and I enjoyed the balance of political intrigue and action. It kept me motivated to keep reading. If you want a pacey, engaging space opera, I highly recommend this one!
