I’m sad I didn’t enjoy this. There was too much irrelevant historical detailing. The “Part Three” was the only part I truly enjoyed. I think I would have liked it better as an audio book, maybe.
please don't come for me
I had to change this to three stars because here's the thing: I don't care about these characters that much? Maybe it's because rich people learning to not be rude to not rich people, and not rich people blatantly being rude to rich people for their parents being rich???? is just an internal conflict I do not care about? Also, why is Blue so secretive about her curse thing? Like here hang out with my psychic family of women but also I can't tell you this other, really not that relevant secret, that could maybe either hurt your feelings or kill you. I don't know. I really cared about Ronan and his story arc in this and I really cared about the plot surrounding Ronan but the rest I...did not care about. That's all. Here it is in CAWPILE:
C: 5- they're not bad characters I just don't care about them.
A: 7 - again, not bad, but I wouldn't give it a higher score because I liked the atmosphere in the first book better.
W: 7 - /shrug
P: 9 - this is ONLY for Ronan's plot and like I said, I really enjoyed that.
I: 5 - I don't care about Gansey and Adam I don't care about Gansey and Adam I don't care about Gansey and Adam
L: 8 - I never know how to rate this section
E: 7 - I can't say this book deserves a mediocre score here because I did sit down and read it in one day. So, /shrug.

3.5 Stars.
I’m really tired of the crazy wife trope. I read this book quickly because I needed to know what really happened, but the twists left a sour taste in my mouth. It was all tied up nicely in the end, so I can’t be too mad. This was very Girl On The Train meets The Silent Patient.

While the twist didn't totally surprise me, there were some things I didn't expect and was pleasantly surprised by. Not a terrible read!
