I ♥ Jake Connelly! There are few things I love more than coming back to the Briar U hockey team when I need a comfort read. I haven't even finished the series, but I loved the Off-Campus series and this one is proving to be no different! They're quick reads, but give me warm hug vibes.

This... was truly wackadoodle. Three stars for the feminist bits and somehow making the weird endearing. I was lost for a good bit of the book when the dog began narrating, but still enjoyed it somehow? Truly just think we tried to jam-pack every. dang. thing. into this book, so it ended up being a bit much for me personally.

You had me at amusement parks! I really wanted something with spooky fair/carnie-type vibes because it's state fair season right now. And this fits the bill in more ways than I had hoped. She was a bit dark and spooky, but still very summery. This is the perfect thriller beach read!

The twist really got me good! It's one of those that right now seems really unbelievable, but I already want to re-read it to see if I'll pick up on things I missed the first time. If so, then I definitely see my review changing for the better! Right now I truly just doubt that I missed or overlooked so much! So maybe this review is less about the book and more about my own observational skills 👀

Listen... she's not really twisty or unpredictable, but she is GOOD! Please check the trigger warnings before picking this one up. My jaw was on the floor this whole time and I could NOT put this down.

I know I liked this book, but I already don't remember a single thing about it.

An enjoyable, twisty read! Not going to be the most memorable and kind of blends with other psychological thrillers, but still worth picking up if you want something that gets your heart racing with tension!

She's good, but she's so sad! This feels very similar to The Reading List, but somehow much harder to read. Just a lot more difficult emotionally. But still, such an important read for anyone who has had books show up for them in hard points and authors who have voiced feelings that you were unable to put words to yourself.
