♡ ARC REVIEW ♡
thank you to nova for this arc book in exchange for my honest review.
this is my first and my best dark christmas novella I have ever read. before you even think about reading this book, please look at the trigger warnings.
this book was amazingly well written, it sucked me in and I devoured it whole. all the darkness, the trauma, the spice, the plot and the characters themselves is everything that kept me hooked. the justice the fmc took on all the horrible men was honestly amazing. I hope we get more of cherise and nik, I miss them already. now I’m going to go read any other books she has because her writing is phenomenal.

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎
the cover is what attracted me to this book, it’s very cute. i didn’t realize this was part of a series until i looked it up on goodreads. i think it’s a stand-alone book that’s in a series. i am not used to third person POV though, it was different but i am willing to read more books in third person now. i do wish there could’ve been more background on the characters. the transitions between iris’ and eli’s POVs didn’t flow well, it just felt rushed and some things confused me. overall this book was good and it had a good plot. i just wanted more. also i do like found family glad they found the family that they needed.

❤︎ NETGALLEY REVIEW ❤︎
thank you to netgalley, briar boleyn, and starwater press for sending me this arc for free in exchange for an honest review! please check trigger warnings before you read!
i really enjoyed this retelling overall. i have to admit it was a bit of a slow start. the pacing was just dragging on a lot. it started to get better around 50-60% in. it also would’ve been nice to see more character development with morgan. i am looking forward to read the second book!!

court of claws picks up where queen of roses left off. i loved this book a little more than the first one! this book was a slow burn book, i don’t usually like slow burns but this was worth it. there was more romance, drama, and action as you read more. this book did keep me on the edge of my seat because of so many twists and turns.
the only thing that made me a little upset was that there was so much miscommunication and secrets between kairos and morgan’s relationship, but after reading why i understood a lot better.
also it ended on a freaking cliffhanger! definitely recommend and a must read for fantasy lovers.
