This was my first Holly Jackson book. It took me a minute to actually sit down and read it but once I did I flew through this book, every page was a page turner. It’s very fast paced, the FMC only has a week left of living to solve her attempted murder. It has twists that I didn’t really see coming, I was suspicious but I wasn’t 100% sure on them. It made me keep second guessing when something new would come up. I felt so many emotions for Jet and Billy during this, I really wish they had more time than they did so we could’ve seen their relationship grow. I definitely cried when she was writing the letters and still tearing up towards the end as well. Overall, this was a great fast-paced, emotional thriller book and I would highly recommend it.

I was excited to read this since this was my first office rivals romance. this book was a funny, sweet and a little spicy read.
livvy was very independent and wanted to do right by her family. I’m glad she ended up believing and sticking up for herself with her family. ryder was a great MMC. his character arc amazing, he believed in and supported livvy wanting her to succeed in the world. seeing all the little things he did for her, remembering the little things about her was truly admiring. their relationship had a lot of flirty banter and the jokes/pranks they played on each other, all of it had me laughing, smiling and kicking my feet.
the side characters were amazing, it was like they were a found family of friends, siblings and cousins, I loved it. I hope to learn more about them in other books and hope they all get their HEAs. I honestly can’t wait to read the rest of this series.

I absolutely loved this book. The spice was *chef’s kiss*. I highly recommend reading if you like second chance, sports (college football) romance, found family, a secret tattoo, and a groveling mmc.
The chemistry between the characters was amazing. Nathan and Berkley hold such a special place in my heart. I really appreciated Nate when he gave Berkley the space she needed and didn’t push her but was still desperate to do everything to get her back. Berkley was an amazing woman, she’s feisty, fun and definitely had a weak spot for Nate, her one true love. I also loved the nickname Nate called her, the letters he wrote to her and his tattoos were everything.
I really loved the banter between the friend groups. Berkley’s best friends were amazing, I am so glad they stuck by her and supported her choices, no matter what they were. Also, what I saw at the very end of the book, I CANNOT wait until Cash & Bellamy’s book!
The plot twist did catch me off guard and I didn't see it coming at all. Berkley was very mature about the whole situation and I am so proud of her, that she stood up to her dad and told him what she felt instead of bottling it up any longer. I loved the pov towards the end, I was confused when I first started the chapter, I had to go back and read the name under the chapter number.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this series whenever it comes out! I am most definitely going to read more by them.

thank you to william morrow, netgalley, and alex aster for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
this is my first book from this author and I loved it. the pacing in this book is great, along with the tension between elle and parker made it so hard to put this book down. I was really imagining being there in nyc and all the places they went to, felt like a movie was playing in my head. this book made me cry and get a little mad during certain scenes. but it also made me giggle, blush and kick my feet.
the characters were written beautifully. the fmc definitely had flaws, but that’s what made this book so much more relatable. the mmc had his own problems as well. he was trying so hard to make her happy, in the only way he knew how by buying things for her. I am glad though that he learned that money can’t fix everything or make someone happy.

DNF at 30%, this book just wasn’t for me. when I first started it, it sucked me in right away until I got a few chapters into it. there are so many different things happening and the chapters are very long, so I ended up losing interest.

thank you to netgalley and hyperion avenue for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
I don’t think I'm the right audience for a marvel adaptation novel. It's fast paced and descriptive. my tastes are more geared towards Jewell's typical thrillers and I don't think I will continue on to the next book.

♡ ARC REVIEW ♡ SPOILERS! ♡
first off i want to say thank you again to the amazing author J.R Dust to allow me to be an arc reader for her book.
✧ PLEASE CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!! ✧
whew this book is definitely an emotional roller coaster. this book began where book 1 (signed for you) left off. i really thought i would hate liam but i don’t, i just dislike some of the things he does but he is really there for charlie (and even crow at some points 😊) and he definitely had a character development. crow is as always amazing and i’m really glad he is there for charlie no matter what and is her best friend and lover (always love those relationships). charlie is definitely a bada$$ FMC, i love her so much and i admire her for being so strong. i definitely have ugly cried during reading this especially towards the end. i’m a little upset with what happened with liam. it kind of reminded me of what happened with mark sloan on greys anatomy after the plane crash. it made me a blubbering mess for a minute. i’m glad there was a happy ending though and i will definitely be getting both physical copies for my shelves asap. also i’m very curious on gray’s lover and i have a suspicion… i hope to god i am right, that would make me even happier. can’t wait to read gray’s story next ❤︎
