Mo Willems is one of my favorite modern children's book authors. Her characters always possess sass, intelligence, and a great sense of fun. I am always excited when she writes another book!

Another charming story by Mo Willems. Elephant and Piggy are the definition of friendship and the illustrations are lovely. This installment explores the topic of sharing and would be great for any child to read.

There was a lot of hype associated with this book and many kids have requested it from the library. I love the idea of the book more than the actual story, but nevertheless it is a story filled with humor. Very entertaining.

While "Egg" isn't as well-known as Henkes's other stories, the message behind it is inspiring. Especially since we live in a world now that is filled with judgement and fear, these characters end up doing the right thing. They accept someone who is different and learn how to be real friends, a great lesson for children today.

I believe that this book and its characters could really inspire children to love reading. A much-needed inclusion for every library! Rocket is an endearing, adorable character that is destined to become a classic favorite. The fact that he is based off a real dog makes him even sweeter!

Wilson's stories have the most comical illustrations and relatable plots for children. Her "Bear" books are some of my favorites. The clever rhymes and pace of the story made this lovable. I think all of us feel like Bear sometimes.

This book is sure to be featured everywhere soon due to its famous author, and this book deserves to be praised. Most books, if they feature famous women at all, include the same three or four we've all heard mentioned in school. Clinton's book tells the story of several famous and lesser known women who have helped humanity. What an inspiring book for young girls and boys!

Pete the Cat is one of my all-time favorite book characters. His confident, sometimes overconfident, ideas that leads to adventure remind me of my family's snarky black cat, Etna. In this book, Pete is more in the background after baking a bunch of cupcakes that go missing. This childrens take on sleuthing is fun and enjoyable for kids.

I discovered the audiobook version of this story read by Mark Smith through "Loyal Books." There were unique voices for every character, but one of the village people with a strong Italian accent impressed me. The reading was dramatic, especially any of the ocean scenes. I can't wait to listen to more classic audiobooks!
