I really loved this final book in the series. Unfortunately I had to withhold a star for all of the angst and unnecessary avoidance of talking things out and making up... honestly, if that had been resolved sooner, it would have gotten all the stars.

I love this... everything about it. The mystery, the suspense, the twists. Although, I did figure out the final twist, it wasn't super early and I was definitely doubting myself for a good part of that time still. Highly recommend this one, especially for a fall spooky read!

One of the Girls has multiple POVs - 6 in fact. While I enjoyed it by the end, it did take quite a while to get used to the short chapters tossing you between the different women attending the hen.

As I said, the chapters are short, so I kept reading "just one more" and it felt like they were flying by. Unfortunately, the book overall felt like it took forever to get through. There were interesting twists and reveals, but it didn't feel as "thriller-y" as I had expected.

I was also disappointed in the way the hen-do wraps up, but I can't say why without spoiling the entire book. I appreciate the epilogue though - it helped to make the ending a bit more satisfying.

Overall, it wasn't a bad read, but I'm also not sure it will be at the top of my recommendations list. It was a bit slow and predictable in my opinion, but if you like slow-burn thrillers this would definitely be one for you to pick up.

I liked the representation of anxiety and PTSD from our two main characters, how they were so similar but also different in some ways as to their reactions/behaviors. There was a lot of character growth and they didn't feel one-dimensional. The steamy scenes were well done - 3/5 on the spicy scale.

I've really been into the hockey romances lately. When this one popped up as a RH hockey romance, I admit I was intrigued. I usually go for more of a paranormal aspect in my RH reads. So let me confirm one thing for you going into it - this is NOT a reverse harem. There is nothing even similar to a RH in my opinion. So if you don't like RH, fear not... this book is for you. All that said, I really enjoyed this steamy hockey romance and how the main characters were sort of flipped a bit from the usual trope. This is a fun enemies to lovers that starts in on the steam early, but it really tones down and is probably only a 3.5-4 on the spiciness scale.

This was a great historical romance and introduction to the author! I will be going back to read more of her works for sure.

Always Be My Duchess is a fun and lighter historical romance, in what I would consider more of a rom com style. I definitely got Bridgerton vibes, between the banter and snark and the steamy scenes. So if you're looking for something to hold you over between seasons, this one would be great!

I really had no idea what to expect with this book once I started. It had a very dystopian-esque feel, while also giving all the historical and fantasy vibes all at the same time. But even though I don't know what genre to call it, I really loved this book!

It felt very unique, never making me think of another story or author. I loved the world-building, and I probably could have read about 50 pages more if there had been a bit more detail on some things. I'm not sure if I just had trouble following or if there were things that just weren't explained as well as I would have liked.

Between the ages of the characters and the steamy scenes, this is definitely more of an adult novel, but I also don't feel that it was terribly explicit. I give it about 2.5-3

This was the perfect slasher story to kick off spooky season! The writing was very engaging and the book was unputdownable. I still find myself thinking about that ending days later...
