The Buy-In was a great start to a series! It was a super sweet second chance, small town romance with lots of laughs and a teensy bit of heart-tugging. The perfect balance for a rom-com! I can't wait to read more from this family!!

In this enemies-to-lovers sweet romance, Anna and Jake take a job in a castle in Italy as caretakers. The catch is, they're supposed to be a couple. Can they pretend to like each other well enough to fool everyone into believing they're in love?

This was a bit of a longer read than the typical romcom. Most of the time that didn't feel like a problem, but toward the end I was a little done with hearing them each go on about how the other couldn't possibly love them back. But the lack of communication and sharing feelings is not my favorite.

I enjoyed the romance and fake-dating is one of my favorite tropes. Seeing the change from their fake reactions to each other and the real reactions later in the book was nice, and I liked the way their friends reacted when they found out the truth.

There was plenty of sexual tension but it was more off-the page - not quite closed door, but also not as steamy as many other books. It was more implied than actually detailed out, but it was very clear what was going on when it faded to... gray.

Overall, I'd give this one 3.5 stars, but round up to a 4. I think it would be a good read for anyone who enjoys fake dating, and the Italian setting in a castle added to the ambiance.

I'm not sure what it is, but there's something about the arranged marriage trope (along with fake dating/engagement) that I just can't seem to get enough of. With a lot of each, I absolutely adored Dating Dr. Dil. I always enjoy getting a bit of a peek into another culture, especially when written by an own voices author, and the aunties were a fantastic part of that! I loved their boisterousness and sticking their noses in all the business.

Kareena and Prem had an amazing chemistry that made them fly off the page right from the very beginning. But I also enjoyed that Kareena really tried to stick to her plan to find her love match instead of just falling into the arms of the charismatic Prem immediately. And it made it all the sweeter when Prem kept trying to convince her.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic comedy!

I really enjoyed this book! There's just something so inviting about a little bookstore in a small village where everyone knows everyone. I really enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters, but I also enjoyed seeing how Evie interacted with all of the rest of the townspeople and really because a part of the community. This was a light and fun romcom, perfect for a quick read. Highly recommended to fans of the genre!
