I loved this book for exactly what it was. We got to catch up with the inner circle after the war and see how things are going in Velaris. I really liked the different POVs and enjoyed that we got a little glimpse into the new series. The writing is consistently Maas, gripping and beautiful as usual. I really felt like I was visiting the city and spending time with our favorite Prythian family.

I'm anxiously awaiting the next books and hope we get a lot more Cassian, Nesta, Elain, Lucien, Mor and Amren.

This was the perfect completion to the trilogy and Mia's story. If you're reading a review for this book, you already know what you love about the series and let just say that Jay does not disappoint in this final installment. Full of action, adventure, romance, wit, and banter, I recommend you run, not walk, to pick up this book.

Well, ok, I guess I can say more. I was highly anticipating this book and I read it while I was also reading a few other things to try to finish off the year at 100. So this is one that I will most definitely be rereading before I start the second in the series. Which, can we just say WHYYY is it still so far away?!

This was a fantastic supernatural book, where I was always questioning who is the actual villain and should I be more suspicious of this character? There was one character that I was definitely suspicious of from the start, and for good reason - but I won't say anything more about that.

Just know that Kerri once again wrapped these fantastic characters into a story that leaves you both satisfied and wanting more, and maybe even a little bit miffed at the end. I can't wait to see how the story continues...

Ash and Madoc are two warriors in a land very reminiscent of the Roman empire - think Gladiator, but with a bit of mythology rolled in.

Speaking of which, I loved the unique mythology - it wasn't one we are already familiar with, but rather a completely new mythology of 6 gods and goddesses, each representing an element (fire, water, air, earth, etc.). There was enough back story about the main gods in the story that I felt knowledgeable, but as a fan of mythology, I still want more!

I can't wait to read more in this world and meet more of the gods and goddesses.

I really enjoyed this book! From the representation of a female MC that struggles with anxiety, to the way the male MC was just completely understanding and accepted her whole-heartedly, this was a lovable romcom with just the right amount of seriousness.

As I have seen others say, I do agree that the severity of Everly's anxiety disorder, while nice to see represented, should have been handled by seeing a professional therapist or counselor. While it's a step toward improving the narrative around anxiety disorders and neurotypical characters, it may also be harmful to some who are already nervous about seeing someone and being treated professionally. This would have been a great step toward normalizing not only the disorder but also the treatment, which is the part many people shy away from due to the stigma.

Aside from that issue, I still really enjoyed Everly and Chris, and I would love to see more about his brothers and Stacey!
