This was incredible. I can’t believe I have waited this long to start this series, but I am also very glad that I did because I was able to start with Tarnished Empire. Right now, I’m totally #teamagrippa, but I do think of this one as more of an Agrippa and Silvara book than a Marcus book, so I think that makes sense. He’s snarky but loyal and I need more of him!! I cannot wrap my head around the ending though, there is SO MUCH to unpack in the last few chapters!

I can’t wait to start Dark Shore immediately and catch up on the series!

Have you ever picked up a “rom-com” and it wasn’t what you expected? Instead you find a serious, thought provoking women’s fiction touching on issues and feelings that make you cry instead of laugh?

I’ve had this happen to me more often than I’d like to admit. I’m a sucker for a cute cover, and those illustrated ones tend to scream “rom-com” and then they end up being light on the comedy.
