I admit, this book started off... as not what I expected.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s a dark hockey romance with definitely stalker vibes, so if you’re looking for a cute hockey rom com, definitely look elsewhere. With that said, I’ve definitely read darker books, but don’t be fooled by the “hockey” categorization.

This was a super quick read and I loved that we got dual POVs. I really enjoyed being in Lincoln’s head to see what he was thinking when he did some of the things he did

If you've been thinking about getting into mafia romance but don't know where to start or aren't sure if it's really your thing, I would highly recommend picking up this book! This was a great intro to the mafia romance world and is not quite as heavy or dark as some of the others out there. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean it's light and fluffy! On the smut scale, there are some spicy scenes, but no major k!nks or anything, but it's on par with the rest of the books by Piper Rayne that I've read. Probably a 3

This was a fun, slightly ridiculous at times, post-apocalyptic why choose romance. I didn't mind the slightly ridiculous aspects at all, but if you're not able to set aside little things and forget about the possible "plot holes" maybe don't pick this one up. If you're ok with fiction being... well, fictional... grab it and give it a try! It was a quick read, good spice, and got me out of the funk I was feeling, so it's well worth it in my opinion!
