I really liked this book! It was my first "ex-boyfriend's dad" trope, but I don't think it will be my last

Tate James never disappoints. After reading the other books set strictly in Shadow Grove, I loved this return to the city while also venturing into new territory. The Guild was always fascinating in MK and Hades and I'm glad to read more about it - even though the people IN The Guild don't seem to know much about it either.

This was a great book, both in story and in the audio I listened to. The narrators did a fantastic job and brought the story to life. The story itself was a really cute romance with the grumpy-sunshine done quite well. I definitely want to read more in this series!

I read the Twisted Obsession story by S. Massery in this anthology. It’s a prequel-ish type novella to a story we’ll be getting later this year I believe.

This is an age-gap (10ish years) teacher/student taboo romance where the teacher is reluctant to get involved with her student both bc she doesn’t want to lose her job but also bc of her past, which we got a glimpse of, but don’t know too much about yet. I loved this story and can’t wait for the full book! These hockey players are just dark and twisted and I’m here for it. But PLEASE check TW below before you read. This one may not be for everyone, but many dark romance lovers will enjoy!

This book was probably my "most taboo read" to date. Willow and Ryan are orphaned twins who have a different draw toward each other... they love each other more than siblings. If this is too much for you, the author's note does have a "twist" in that

I won't give away more than that, but you may be able to figure some of it out as you read as I did.

This was not my first Lucy Smoke book and I really enjoyed her writing. I'll continue to read more of her backlist for sure!

What?!!? Ugh, the cliffhanger ending... I must continue immediately!

I was absolutely drawn in by this book and couldn't put it down. I finished it in a day and loved every second of it. This is a great story about an elite secret society with all the twists and turns. There is romance and spice, but also thriller and mystery elements that have you flipping the pages as quickly as possible to find out what's going on. And it was a super quick read!

Continuing the story right where the first left off... I liked this one a little bit less, I think because it's bringing us more questions than fulfilling any answers. I'm not sure I love how the RH relationship is progressing... it feels more like they're all vying for her attention, and then one goes off on tour and is never around. We don't even really see any video calls with them or anything, he's sort of an afterthought now.

This is such a short book, that I do like it and will continue. I'm having trouble describing my thoughts here, but I think these books are short enough that you need to keep going to really get the answers you would normally expect from a single book. Almost like the first two books are really a "single book"? I don't know... I'm going to continue on and see where this leads.
