I really wish goodreads would give us half stars already... this is more a 3.5 star read, but didn't quite make it to 4 stars to round up. That said, I enjoyed it! It was a little too short I think, so the characters weren't quite as fleshed out as I wanted them to be. The insta-lust was real with this one, which isn't terrible, but it was such a short story we really didn't get to see them move from insta-lust to actual love, imo. And maybe it's just because I loved the characters so much, but there just wasn't enough development. It read more like a novella than a full length novel, but definitely worth the read if you want a quick mafia romance with some steam and a (at least I think she would be if given more page time) badass FMC.

This is a really dark, but excellent hockey romance. Definitely check TW's if you pick it up, but if you like dark romance and hockey romance, this may be your next fave! I'm definitely jumping into the rest of the series ASAP.
