Automatically gave this book 5 stars because I finished it in hours! I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with Alina and Mal and I was so invested in their adventure/journey. I can't wait to pick up the second book.

The idea behind this book is brilliant and SO cute! However, the execution just didn't do it for me. It's a relatively short book and I had a hard time getting through it. The writing is fine, nothing terrible there, but it was kind of boring at times. I didn't really get the chemistry between the two main characters and the ending fell a little flat for me. If you are REALLY into public radio or podcasts maybe this book is for you, but I had a hard time connecting.

I am loving this series! It's a unique take on the Hades/Persephone story and separating the books by perspective is a great idea. I loved getting to know Hades side of the story and there was so much extra story that you don't get from the original book. I recommend reading both the original book and this counter part.

I enjoyed this book way more than A Touch Of Darkness. I was invested in their love story way more and felt the highs and lows of the relationship. I know it was annoying to read the constant breakdown of communication but it felt so much like real life and how a real relationship less than a year old would work. My only wish was that they would have spent more time fleshing out the plot points like Persephone's secret admirer or her mother. Those plot points felt like second thoughts. Besides that I would give it 4/5 stars.

My expectations going into this book were pretty low. A lot of people say it's just mythology fan-fic. That may have some truth to it but honestly this book is so enjoyable. It's easy to get into and not nearly as overwhelming or intimidating as most greek novels. It's fun, spicy and kept me hooked. Completed in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down.

Whoa! What a twisty, dark and kind of spicy thriller! Truly a bit speechless after this read. No idea who to trust or who to believe. One thing I can say is that I couldn't put this book down. It wasn't the best written book ever but it was entertaining and for once I couldn't guess the ending.
