There were a few poems that I adored, but it was very few. The rest were just very mid. Also, I think the art was kind of lazy and not well done. The cover is just so gorgeous, I thought I was in for this beautiful book of art and poems and I was a little let down.

Millers writing is beautiful and poetic. It's a shame that she made this a short story and didn't dedicate some more pages to it. I would have loved even a novella.

I didn't expect to love this book as much as I did.
Stephanie Plum is down on her luck and turns to bounty hunting. The person she's tracking down is an ex of sorts and she has mixed feinga about it. Loads of misfortune happens, lots of adventure and humour.
My only qualm is that it's from the 90s and there is some major issues regarding sex, women, and language throughout.

Personally just didn't understand this or the hype for it. Like, yeah, fuck the patriarchy and what not. But beyond that like what was the point?!?

A book written for cat lovers. Saturo and his beloved cat Nana embark on a trip together across country and meet old friends and new along the way.
I found the voice of Nana charming and hilarious. My heart broke a bit towards the end and then it was put back together again. This is a gorgeous novel and if you have a cat or a pet that you love dearly, I'd give this one a read. Just keep the tissues close.

I love these Holidays with the Wings novella's. They are a load of fun and make me want to be a part of the Wong family.
My biggest issue is that they are novella's and the stories could be more fleshed out and the characters could be better developed if the author dedicated a full length book to each story. There were many parts I could imagine being expanded and the conflict could have been better.

Gorgeous photos and an absolutely charming writing style. I enjoyed the essays far more than the poetry. I would eat up a book of essays written by this author.

Still desperately searching for the plot. I love a good spicy romance but I don't understand why this is so popular. Yes, it had some great spicy scenes however, I need a plot! The connection was not there and Cassie and Parker were SO immature. How Erin put up with that is so confusing.
This just wasn't for me.

This book has it all, gothic house setting, frenemies, dual POV, 70's, Italy, mystery, murder. I couldn't ask for much more in a thriller. Rachel Hawkins, please keep writing!

The only reason it got 4 stars from me is that last chapter. I won't add any spoilers but it's one of my least favorite tropes.
