Not my favorite Christina Lauren book. Just a bit full at times. I think The Hating Game is a much better work place romance.

This was almost a DNF for me, books with no/limited chapters are a drag. Additionally that first "chapter" was rough. I found Sally to be unfunny and petty. However, once the emails started flowing back and forth between Sally and Noah I was hooked. Noah's character was so refreshing in this genre, however, I still remain unsold on Sally (and maybe that's the point).
This book does talk extensively about COVID and although it's been 3 years, it still felt so raw and yet nostalgic.
Overall, a fantastic read. I think the first "chapter" could have been tightened up a bit and that the addition of chapters could have really developed Noah and Sally's relationship more but it was still great.

Such a shame to DNF but just a few chapters in and I dislike both main characters. I can't get into this at all.

This has become my guilty pleasure series of books. Are they good, not really. Do I eat them up, absolutely! Stephanie Plum is becoming one of my fave book characters.

Definitely a book for th Swifties! Overall, I enjoyed it. However, I wasn't a fan of Zander constantly telling Zoe she needed to change. Felt too small town and was so stereotypical gender roled. Also the epilogue was NOT it for me. Almost 20 years of time jumps was a bit overkill.

I was so disappointed by this. I was expecting a fun rom-com that was kind of meta but instead it was a messy "romance" that barely had any focus on love. It was hard to follow. I was bored. Just not my cup of tea.

This was a mess of a book. I didn't realize until after half way through that it's fiction. There was no plot, no character building, nothing. Just a string of unconnected stories about a girl's life.

A shocking memoir that takes a look into religion, education and abuse.
I truly couldn't put this down. It was fascinating. I am, as always with memoirs, wondering what was true, what was exaggerated or misremembered. But no matter what, it's clear that Tara had a traumatic childhood.

I'll start by saying Carley Fortune is a fantastic writer. The scenery is described so beautifully and the characters are fully fleshed out. However, this book was a big let down for me.
I'll start with what I liked. Dual timelines is great and reminiscent of her first novel. I enjoyed the complex relationship between Fern and her mother. The epilogue was a nice touch, not my favorite ending but it tied everything together nicely.
Now onto what I hated. First, I needed more past timeline. Second...Will Baxter sucks! I don't think he has any likeable characteristics and if a man treated me that way in real life, well then good bye. Lastly, Wills family relationship goes past a normal loving sibling and onto something a bit creepy and his sister sucks too.
Overall, this book disappointed me. It was my most anticipated read and I thought it would be an automatic 5 stars but I'm struggling to give it even 3.

I couldn't keep track of the characters in the audio version. Maybe I'll come back another time.
