HP mentioned but also a whole scene going on about the joy of HP combined with questionable therapist ethics.

There was an inconsistency within the first four pages.
Racist, abalist, and fatphobia undertones. Was considering DNFing when the “R” word was randomly dropped into casual conversation and that was the last straw.

Too many inconsistencies and the writing didn’t blow me away. I didn’t care what was happening enough to continue.
Just not my thing. I’m not much for ya romance. There was supposed to be aro/ace rep but it was apparent it wasn’t the main character or a main plot of the story.
Didn’t realize it was a sequel and not really feeling the new adult story. Book is fine (great for some people) I’m just not vibing with it.
The book was good but just not for me. It is about a college freshman searching for love.
I tried. This book is extremely male centric with women only being mentioned as a taunt (ie your mother isn’t here) or in terms of sex (brothels or raising their skirts to the famous fighter). That was enough for me to DNF, but the world building was slow and inconsistent and I felt no connection to the characters.
