My first book from Rebel Bloom and I really enjoyed this! 

The way the relationships fleshed out and unfolded was really well-paced and not at all rushed. It honestly felt like it was 400 pages long but it was only about 260 pages. The way our 4 characters very naturally fell into a relationship felt genuine and uncontrived. 

The only complaint I have is with the ex. I felt that the conflict with him was settled abruptly but it didn't feel fully resolved. He should have been fired imo. 

There was a very minor misunderstanding act in the end but it was resolved very quickly without being dragged out which I appreciate greatly. 

Wish the ending was fleshed out more so we could have seen them live together in a proper and open relationship and be all domestic with each other. 

To sum it up, this was a great first read from Rebel Bloom and I can't wait to check out more why-choose romances from her!

A high-speed romance between a camgirl and a stalker. 

The camgirl went from absolutely terrified to attracted in a blink of an eye, which was unrealistic. The stalker goes by they/them and is non-binary, I believe - it wasn't very clear but that's no issue. However, the stalker was hired by the camgirl's father but we never did find out why or what came of it. It just ends. 

Perhaps it might be because there was less than 90 pages but there was no substance or depth to the relationship. It honestly had the vibe of a one night stand. The characters felt distant - we know absolutely nothing about them - and it was just impossible to feel engaged in their relationship. I enjoyed my previous read from Ms Isaly but this one was very disappointing in comparison. Overall, a very forgettable book.

The angst was too much. The past angst, present angst - I felt suffocated. I might pick this up again in the future but not right now.

I feel that the writing style is boring. Maybe I might pick it up again as an audiobook but maybe not.

A great debut work! Honestly, this book starts out slow. The dialogues and characters are quite mushy and a tad bit corny from the beginning, but it wasn't too bad so I was able to look past it and continue. And I'm so glad I did. The characters turned out to be very loveable though I'm still quite iffy on the FMC's two BFFs as they don't have very great advice and behave like college sorority girls. The MMC's brothers are also frat boys in the body of fully grown men so I guess it works out. But they're supportive and grew on me all the same. 

The spice is absolutely delicious. If you're looking for plot AND great smut, this is for you! And if you don't mind having a cute little boy who is not annoying and just an all-around sweet child on the side, pick this up please! 

Was this incredibly well-written? Not by a long shot. It was shaky at the start and took some time to find its footing. But it does get better and it does improve quite a lot as the book goes on. This was a great read and I had a really fun and spicy time! Will definitely check out more books from this author, I'm sure her writing will have improved even more in her next works.

I saw this in my local bookstore and immediately picked it up because the cover and title were so cute and the premise seemed adorable and I was looking forward to a great cosy read. Serves me right for judging a book by it's cover because this was so incredibly disappointing. 

The writing is very chunky - infos and descriptions often came in chunks which did not make it very engaging. The characters were very flat and cringy. As much as I would absolutely love baby dragons too, I felt that the FMC's dragon obsession was overdone. The constant baby voice and nicknames (goglu, golu-molu, cutie pie, etc) were just too cringy. The MMC's character was not very consistent - he was supposed to be aloof and cold and dark but somehow had instalove for the FMC. By the 3rd meeting, they were already missing each other. 

I just feel very disengaged from the characters, the world and the plot itself. I'm so incredibly sad because I was hoping to really love this but I really am not fond of the writing style and I don't think I'll come to like it within the next 100 pages so I'm not going to waste my time and just DNF this at 25%.

If you're looking for amazing hot spice, this is it 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ If you're looking for good plot, this is not for you.

This book had a very slow start and it took a while for things to get going. The spice was very well written 🥵 and there are sweet praise kinks in between. Unfortunately, other than the smut, this book was very underwhelming. I had expected a bit more but I just felt everything was "???" 

I genuinely wish there were more scenes with the other firefighters because it really felt like MMC and FMC were the only 2 characters in 90% of the book. It would have been great to have a hot supporting cast.

I read the tropes and triggers page but the cult aspect and the lavender marriage really blindsided me. I really hate cheating unless the married party is being abused by their partner. And I honestly thought that was where this was going, she's running away from an abusive husband and that's why she couldn't get a divorce. But no, she was running from a cult but somehow it didn't seem like it was actually hard to run away from the cult cos apparently they knew where she was and let her husband leave to bring her back but when he didn't come back, oh well! Like idk I feel like the cult plot wasn't very solid, only brought more questions and in the end, it was fine and dandy. I think this book would have been stronger if it had gone in a different direction. It just fell short and took away from the romance, for me personally. 

I wasn't going to pick up the 2nd book in the series because this 1st book was so disappointing but the other books are written by different authors so I'm going to give it a chance and hope it's better!

I have never read a satirical book before and this was a blast! I zoomed through it in less than an hour and I'm still laughing. 

I'm still reeling from the whirlwind of emotions I had while reading this. I was constantly teetering on being confused and trying to put on my detective thinking hat and then something crazy will pop up on the page and I remember it's satire and end up laughing. 

The fact that the main conflict of our couple is that damn white-gold / blue-black dress from idk how many years ago was absolutely hilarious! Literally the fact that Grant was going to institutionalize Alice for seeing different colours from him had me howling! And the way the damn dress keeps popping up like omg please stop, my stomach hurts. 

The crazy twists and turns being turned into new punch lines of cliche plot twists had me in tears. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from this book. But it was definitely a super fast and fun read!

I liked how the dynamic of the characters were written. It wasn't just 3 guys in love with 1 girl but they were all in love with each other as well. They all belonged to each other and together. 

One thing I felt disassociated me from the book was the writing. I wouldn't say it was BAD writing but it wasn't good either. It felt very "tell not show" and some of the dialogue felt unnatural which made it very hard to be engaged with what's going on. 

Something that I also felt was unrealistic was how the characters were apparently "constantly on front page news". I know it's a small town and probably nothing exciting happens locally but wouldn't you just show up to the reporter and tell them to stop since you probably know them? It feels like the entire town is full of jerks and judgemental assholes, so it sucks that it didn't end with them packing up and moving elsewhere for a fresh start.
