There was great character development for Eleanor. I wanted to keep reading to see if she would slip back into hold habits or continue to grow and learn. I definitely cringed at points from her awkward thoughts and interactions. The ending caught me by surprised and I really enjoyed it.

I went back and forth about this book a lot. I wanted to sympathize with Toby and hate Rachel, and I had a feeling that at some point we would hear from Rachel and learn her side of the story. I wish there'd been a better arc for her and that I could understand her perspective. I couldn't relate to these people who didn't love their spouses and wanted to social climb for the sake of it.

I decided to read this book after watching the first movie on Netflix and learning that a second one was coming out. I was so drawn into Lara Jean's life and love story. I think that what she had with either Peter or John Ambrose was what I always wanted to high school-a whirlwind love story, with a twinge of drama. I loved Peter standing up for Lara Jean and hated how he wouldn't just tell her what was going on with Gen- even something simple to let her know that it wasn't anything romantic. Then again, high schoolers aren't always the most thoughtful. Part of me wanted more for Lara Jean and John Ambrose and part of me wanted Peter and Lara Jean forever.

I enjoyed and appreciated parts of this book, like hearing about having kids. She wrote it so real and raw, and I could hear her voice in those parts. Other parts I really struggled to get through.

This book just IS the end of high school. It's wanting to spend time with your friends and figuring out how to be strong and independent while wanting to make everyone happy. I think Jenny Han captured that time perfectly.

Great, light read!
You could tell from the beginning that there would be some love, drama, and conflict in the very best way. Not only do I love seeing the dynamic between all the "kids," and read about what it looks like to be the child of a president, but to see the first female president!! It was a little predictable and I really didn't care. I couldn't wait for them to get together and then I wanted everything to work out. And I was very happy with the ending.

I went through a Pride and Prejudice phase this year during which I realized that I've never actually read the original. But I read this, watched the movie, read Unmarriageable, and watched Bride and Prejudice. I enjoyed how this one felt relatable and I appreciated where it chose to vary from the original. This was a great, feel-good book.

*some spoilers*
At first I thought that I really enjoyed this book because it made me feel all the feels. But when I read another, similar book I realized how much I don't like the storyline that connects the two. While people should move on and learn to love again, I cannot relate to being in love with one person and marrying another. I sent this book to two friends as part of a Galentine's Day gift. While I wanted to keep reading, I wasn't happy with the turns the story took.
