This by far is one of the most beautiful stories I have read this year! I loved the descriptions of the circus itself and getting to feel like I was really apart of the whole experience. Celia and Marco have a beautiful story and how the circus fits into that is amazing.

Snap is a thriller about the Bright family who's car breaks down and the mother goes to try and find help and never returns. This story follows Mrs. Bright's family in the aftermath of her disappearance.

I did a combination of audiobook and ebook for this reading experience and I did enjoy the audiobook but when reading in the ebook format I didn't really like how there were no real chapters. I think that this book was enjoyable for me I just was hoping for a little more suspense since this was supposed to be a thriller.

I think that as a ManBooker long-listed title that this book could have been better. I enjoyed some of the characters but also felt like there were too many characters at some points and felt that Jack was the only really fleshed out character of the Bright family and I would have liked to see more of Joy and Merry's experiences.

I thought that it was a fun read and think there are plenty of people out there who will love this book I just don't think it will make it to the winner of the ManBooker

This is a story told from 3 major perspectives. We have a refugee who leaves his home to Ireland hoping to start a better life for his wife and daughter. We have a young 20 something who is working for a elderly care home and our last perspective is from an elderly Irish man who is dying.

When I first started this book I didn't feel like I was getting along with it very well but then I kept going and found that as the story progressed I really started to enjoy the story lines of the characters more and more.

I will say of the 3 separate narratives the refugees story was the least enjoyable for me. I think his story line was a little unnecessary for the story but I did like seeing how all three of these men ending up connecting at the end of the story.

I think as a ManBooker longlisted work this was beautifully written and it was an interesting story that really did make me think which is one of my favorite parts about the ManBooker works.
