This was such a great Halloween read about a boy who grows up in a graveyard because a man named Jack kills his family. I found the world that Gaiman created was amazing I felt like I was right there with Bod and his journeys. This is a great coming of age story with a creepy twist. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

I really liked the idea of this book, but the writting style through me for a loop. I was not particularly connected to any of the characters or their back stories. I will say that the world that the author built was amazingly vibrant and I really enjoyed the world building of the story. All in all I did not hate this book but I by no means loved it and doubt I will continue this series.

I really enjoyed this book! I think that Mindy Kaling is so funny and her book had me laughing quite a few times because I felt like we were good friends just having a chat. I look forward to any of her future work.
