I feel like I was listening to this book but that I couldn't keep my attention to what was going on. My life also kind of crumbled after I started reading this so I think I will put it down for now and then I will try to pick it back up again.

I think that the magic is cool in theory, but I am not invested in these characters 

I just don’t think I am in the right head space for this one right now 

Really just wasn’t a story I was connecting with 

I think that this book is very well written, but the characters were being teenagers and while I think that is awesome in the way that I want characters to act their age the actions of the characters were starting to get on my nerves. If you are looking for a superhero type of book for a teenage reader I think that this book would be perfect for them. Just as a 33 year old woman the story wasn't working for me personally. 

I think that the story is interesting but it is causing me to go into a slump so I am putting it down.

I just couldn’t connect to Ariel or Eric as characters they just didn’t feel genuine to me 

This is a book of short stories and I just wasn’t enjoying the retellings. 

I am a quarter of the way through and have no idea what is going on and none of the characters are interesting to me to continue.
