What a heart breaking story. We dont often hear the stories of who is left to pick up pieces after a family member is murdered. Amy did an amazing job with this book. I felt like I was watching a crime documentary, very detailed, lots of emotions and left me with hope. Thank you for sharing your story. It goes to show that we really need to work on the mental health issues in this country
Great thriller!!! Love when I dont figure out an ending. Like the author noted that this book coming out in the time of covid we will do anything for our family. I was already thinking this as I was listening. Great narration too
Interesting take in a life flashing before your eyes. I was confused at times and then at the end got an "makes sense" but just seem to just drop off. Still interesting book just not a favorite.
Author did a great job putting both perspectives on this case. I watch alot of crime shows but had not heard about this case. In the end I am still unsure the proper ruling of this case. But author was definitely unbiased
I loved this book! I could see this being a book club pick. I wanted Toni to happy, I wanted her to keep that guitar and find love. I will being suggestion this book to a book group and anyone who loved daisy jones and the six. Loved that there was 2 narrators. I just dont like when men try to do a female voice in audiobooks. But I know they need to so it follows the book.
This was a good thriller that held my attention all the way threw. This was a binge listen for me. I look forward to more and in hope of a series! Audio on this was good.
I really enjoyed the twists in this book. My heart was broken for May right away in the book and then watching over her sister. I kept waiting for a killer to pop out on June. Didn't see the ending coming which for me was great. I usually figure out the mysteries. Audio was great. I did adjust the speed up for better listening.
I would give this book 3.5 stars. It was good. Different then any other thriller I have read. It was just to short! I guess I like mote length but to a book.
Mother May I was good. Middle section had me lost and confused at times. Mostly with who was who and connected to who. But then it all came together. I think it was a good thriller on a hard topic.
Loved this book! Narrator for the audio was perfect. Without giving away spoilers this book took a few turns I didn't expect. This book got me thinking how hard it was for families in this time period to be LGBTQ and want to have children. Definitely will be suggesting this book for my progressive book group!
