I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes it felt alittle all over but most of it really captivated me. I was sucked in from the beginning and didn't want to take a break from listening. Life does go on after Tragedy it's the people who are left to put it back together and not run from it. That's what I got from the book.
I really struggled with this book. I couldn't connect with the main character. Finally when I got into it. Then it was just done. Overall I rate this as ok.
I have watched Teen mom from the start. I was pregnant when the shows came out and my kids sre similar ages. I am so glad Leah told her truth. I too came from a teen mom who was controlling and was best I let her go (she was also an opiate addict) this book is so relatable. I had no idea Leah struggled with so much that wasnt even filmed. Leah reading her own book was perfect!!
Wonderful short stories. The story about the witch was really good and will stick with me for awhile. The fairytails we read as little girls we grow up to thing it's TRUE, so interesting take on a different culture of them. Dark but very intriguing
Loved this story of 2 people finding each other when dealing with loss. The storyline 9f the mother in law also was really well done as felt so real. At one point in the book I wanted to stop and Google Brody to see what he looked like, but remembered he was fiction. This book leaves you with happiness in your core. Audio was perfect performance!
Amazing story. Still hard to believe it is historical fiction. This book read like a good memoir. I feel so deep into this book and binged it almost straight to the end. So many historical fiction books about ww2 but to have one about Afganistan was more relatable to my generation as it's more recent. This would be a great book for big book clubs and local clubs. Deep subjects.
I totally loved this book. And to know it's a part of a series as me waiting for more!! All the ladies are relatable real women. Even more so for me as my mom was adopted and I have always been left with questions and wonders. This book was a perfect binge listened to the audio without any stops and left me with a smile on my face. 5 stars! Fun read!
This book was intriguing but I really had a hard time following along with what was going on. I am glad I finished because I got it in the end. But was a real struggle to keep going. As for Audio so glad did male and female narrators.
Great story and well researched. It's not often we read enough about women and what they ensured during the Nazi regime. I love audiobooks and was excited for this on audio but think I would of preferred to read this. The audio just didn't give enough emotion it was read more like statistics. Sometimes it changed and hot better but then it would go flat again. Overall great book.
What a amazing historical fiction! I had no idea about masks being made for soldiers. This book left me wanting to research more. I really enjoyed this story, so many historical fictions are same thing over and over, this was not that! Will for sure suggest this others.
