This book was a journey. Unlike others I actually really liked the ending - it was the rest of the book that was frustrating and made me really angry at the main character, but as he came to terms with his choices so did I. I say it was a journey because all the frustration brought me to the realization of the authors point at the end and I appreciated it. I definitely want to read the sequels. All in all, a good first read of 2019.

Loved it, especially the trans* mermaid!

Heartbreaking and beautiful and beautiful and heartbreaking and

So glad Riordan finally moved away from a strict heterosexual world building, that didn't even make sense with Greek and Roman culture. And we get a bi protagonist in Apollo! Also I loved seeing Sally Jackson!

Celebratory and real, genuine and honest. Dramatic and fantastic but with a current of truth and doubt that really resonated.

Didn't love the ending, but an engaging book.
