This was a wonderful look into Leia's character and where she's coming from at the start of A New Hope. It was hard to read the romance, knowing it must be doomed, but it was written well. This book painted Alderan so beautifully and nostalgically that it made its destruction more real.

This book is gorgeous. The words, the story, the characters, all so filled with beauty that it bursts from the page.

It's definitely not an easy read, but it's worth it.
