The whole narration on the captain pirate and in general whenever the focus got away from the two main characters I didn't enjoyed the book as much. 

My most favourite, and I would say the most (saddly) unique aspect of the book is the amazing range of races, gender identities, ages and archetypes women-related that this book puts at the forefront of the plot and I would have liked for those to be even more prevalent, as I thought it had so much potential. 

I also felt like the main relationship was not sufficiently developed. I would have liked maybe 30% more of them to feel like their relationship is believable. 

However, despite my personal suggestions, this book got me out of a dark sad place by transporting me to a lovely wholesome magical realm of pirates, princesses, witches and mermaids. 🧙🧜‍♀️🧝🏼‍♀️🧚🏼‍♀️✨. So I would definitely undoubtedly and strongly recommend this book if you are in the mood for the book your 6 year old (+politically educated) self would have loved. 

I feels like I really need a reread of the book. It's quite chaotic and I didn't understand everything fully. After a few weeks of sinking in and some articles and papers on the book, I think I will get much more from it.

Still, it has beautiful prose and imagery, hence the star rating, and the overall plot was really touching. 

It's marketed as a love story, but for the fists half if the book they don't even meet. 

And, a chapter later (they haven't even laughed together, or spent an hour getting to know each other, or anything). Then she desperately feels the need to tell him her most intimate deepest desires and aspirations.

I was at least hoping for a cute, slaying slow burn. They *kinda* have chemistry. But no. They kiss the day later they have meet.

And it's not like she was looking for a "one night -kiss-stand". I feel like their love isn't based on anything real and it's described like it is. 

If you liked the Stalking Jack the Ripper series, you'll love this one. But the things you found annoying in that book, if you did, you'll also find in this one. 

Madrid in a book. Amusing alternative to an Spanish comedy to read in one sitting. 

I want to hear people that really liked it talk about this book so i can get the hype😅
