I thought it was going to be "sad autumn witchy" vibes but it turned out to have such a cool silly sexy romance

although there is SUCH a lack of diversity in the book, i do appreciate the treatment of social exclusion and discrimination on the basis of culture and religion portrayed in the book.

The mental health plot (represented in Margaret) felt kind of exaggerated and 🧀sy.

But all in all, is the first of a new favourite genre of mine: ✨sexy banter-y autumnal fantasy✨

just, make it gay the next time please😅

very very good book for a phenomenal fantastic  life changing film
fast-paced

uffffs
muy humano
asquerosamente amoroso y adorable, loco loquito estando enamorado

No sé qué pensar. No lo leas si tienes eating issues tho.

also, este libro cae en el tópico de toda historia de lesbianas, y el típico final de toda historia de lesbianas. if u know u know

NOT MY REVIEW, BUT REASONATES WITH me:
It felt a little hippy dippy there at the end.
Part 1 and 2 of the book was really informative about different types of people on the LGBTQ+ spectrum and different types of realtionships. It was more of a relationship self help part of the book. I really liked that part of the book.
Part 3 and 4 was on communication and poly relationships. Communication is key in any relationship and gave great advice. The this is how you should open your relationship had great advice but it seemed a bit repetitive.
-----
Very good. I’m not personally into poly at this time in my life, but this was an illuminating read about so much more than just polyamory.

Lot of great advice around communication and boundaries. How to navigate difficult conversations and situations. What sex is and can be. Don’t go thinking opening up a relationship will make a bad situation better. It’s likely it will just add napalm to a smoldering fire.

Loved the parts about owning your shit and how to discuss the messy parts of relationships. And I think it’s immensely applicable to any relationship, poly, enm, or monag.

NOT MY REVIEW BUT REASONATED W/ me:
I think it’s generally agreed upon that this book is dated and ignores the experience of working women, poor women, and women of color. I agree with this assessment.

I’m working my way through foundational feminist texts so this was of course on my list, as it’s always included in the cannon. I can understand why this book impacted a particular group of women at the time it was published, but it doesn’t have any relevance today unless you are trying to understand the history of feminist thought. It is also good commentary on white privilege.

In brief, this is a book about wealthy white women choosing (heavily influenced by wealthy white men/the patriarchy) not to grow, learn, self-actualize, work, or do anything worthwhile simply because they didn’t have to. This eventually caused them mental distress (shocking!).
