While the writing style is great and I was happy with the ending, I overall felt that there were several parts to the characters' relationship that were toxic and so many moments had me feeling second hand embarrassment.

This was a great fantasy read! I loved the competition plot point, the beginning of a love triangle, the mysterious magical element and the friendship between Celaena and the princess. Left me very excited for what is to come.
