A male author I can stan. Literally cried. I love this book
I was so excited for this book but really nothing about it ended up working for me. Hattie was pretty awful. She only ever cared about herself and then when things started unraveling with the town at the end and she was upset I was so mad because people tried to tell her what would happen to the town. The love story was ridiculous. She gets back with her high school sweetheart for literally 2 chapters and they are saying I love you right away. It felt like high school like what? The writing was so lacking it was hard to stay engaged.
Dnf 36% in. I always feel like I like the idea of a time loop but sometimes, like with this book, it just doesn’t work for me. Cassandra could have been an interesting character but instead of focusing on herself she was focusing on a MAN EW
Dnf 51% in. This was a really fascinating concept but about 40% in the story goes in a direction I just found so silly.
Also, this is a story of a debut author using AI to write a book and readers seem ok with it and from being in the book community, I know for a fact most if not all readers are just ok with it. A book site like Goodreads just got roasted and toasted for using AI and it was all collectively looked upon as bad.
