good retelling of the Midas and the Golden Touch...think my book group really caught on to the fact that the main character was being selfish and greedy at the start of the story and that he needed to start thinking about other people

classic roald dahl...not for those looking for a light and cute animal read...will be interested to see if my book discussion group kids pick up on the true nature of the cider in the book...if they don't i'm not going to tell them

It was a very slow start for me. The hook didn't grab me right away. Once I was hooked it went very quickly and was written well.

A little melodramatic at times but I am still excited by the series and eager to read the next book

So this is a collection of 5 paranormal short stories...i enjoyed 3 of them very much...it was fun to revisit a character from a short story in another "from Hell" collection...the other 2 didn't cut it for me at all...i'm still confused about what happened in one of them and the other one was pointless...guess that is the risk you take when you read a short story collection...nothing to say that they are all going to hit the mark
