This was a solid story. I absolutely adored Cut, Hendrix, Melanie, Sasha, JJ, Reba, Otis, and Bessie.
Cheyenne was a little harder to get my head around, but I think this was due to some great writing. Cheyenne’s problems were so well written, and because of that, so easy to understand and sympathise with.
I do wish, however, that we could’ve seen more of Chad, and Deek, and Koala Boy.
I also wish there was more physical love between Cut and Cheyenne. This was a highly emotional book, but I wanted a little bit more spice.
Still, another great Tijan book, give it a go!!

3.5 stars.
This was a kind of frustrating book.
I was intrigued by the premise of it, but it fell flat and was so frustrating for me.
Keira was the main source of this. Her inaction and lies were so annoying. And she just lets things spiral out of control and hurts people.
Yes, Logan contributed to that, but not nearly as much as I think Keira tried to place on him.
I also got a bit confused between Keira’s friends and the hockey wags. I think that was more because this was part of a connected series.
Another thing that bothered me was the breaking of the fourth wall. It annoyed me a little and took me out of the story.
Having said that, I enjoyed the sports aspect of this book, as well as Livi and the relationships between all the characters.
This isn’t a book for people who get frustrated easily, but I think, as an easy read, it fits the bill.

Received for an honest opinion.
I genuinely enjoyed this book. I liked the different perspective of ballet it gave but I wished there was more with Noelle's former relationship. It was made a big deal of but not really mentioned. I also really enjoyed Jace, though I thought more detail could've been given on his injury. It seemed like it played a minor role, when it really didn't.
But I liked the relationship between them, Jace is a new favourite! A very enjoyable read.

I found the writing style of this book a bit off putting. It was stilted at times and information wasn't readily given, leaving a lot of time for the reader to wonder about what's going on for it not to be resolved. I just couldn't get into this book, sorry.

Family Fortune is a refreshing telling of the same old storyline current done to death. Rodger is sent to guard Emma from her evil, well not really but you get the gist, father. You've heard the storyline a million times, he falls for her but can he let his feelings for her jeopardise his work and her safety? However, you've never heard it told like this! Set in the 1855 Family Fortune is like nothing you've ever read before. I enjoyed this book immensely and would highly recommend it!

I liked this story. It was sweet and had the right amongst of angst, but I felt it was rushed. There were so many instances where you'd be reading and suddenly it's two weeks, or two months later. It could be more of a format problem but I think it could've been fleshed out more, to really build the angst and feelings between Kam and Laney.
