This was on okay book. I think first and foremost, the relationship between Chris and Claire didn't work for me. She was supposed to be untrusting and she leaped straight in with Chris. Then they were too dependent on each other. I think ultimately it was always being set up for them to fail, even without knowing anything about the rest of the series.
Like I said, this was an okay book, not one I'm particularly taken with and won't be continuing on with the series.

I absolutely love this book! Ben and Mia are everything and Nolan is too cute for words! This is a great book. It’s hot, steamy, romantic, funny, dramatic and sweet.
You need to read it now!

I absolutely loved this book! Some of the MTF books weren't my favourite, but Ransom has got me running back to this series.
Ransom is hot and strong, Stella is sassy and strong, and Rambo is adorable.
I loved that the balance between the MTF or LSERT was perfect. I feel like it was integrated so well into this book, that it was a part of it, as opposed to previous MTF books where it seemed almost an afterthought.
The level and amount of sex also felt right. I've felt, with previous books, there's been too much of it in favour of skirting important discussions that need to happen, but again here, the balance was just right.
I also loved the alternate POVs here, with previous MTF characters. I also loved the supporting cast of next gen MTF, Kelsey and Nick especially, whose book I can't wait for!
One thing I would like, and struggled with slightly, is an MTF family tree. With so many names and call names and kids floating around, if you haven't recently read the proceeding books lately, it gets confusing very quickly and at times hard to follow. But that's a small complaint.
I loved this book, there's real LivePD vibes here and it's awesome!

4.5 stars.
First off, mafia books aren’t really my thing but this one intrigued me. There’s shades of Sierra Simone’s American Camelot trilogy here (in terms of political overtones, not threesomes) but I would’ve like a little more.
I also think the blurb is slightly misleading. It leads to much more of a love triangle than I think there really was.
That said, I really enjoyed the transformation of both Wolfe and Francesca, even if at times Francesca’s immaturity did grate at me.
I also felt like the book moved in fits and starts. The timeline would all of a sudden shoot forward days or weeks, when previously nothing much had happened.
There’s also a few writing style things that bothered me, but I think they’re mostly overcome by the story.
I really did love the transformation of Wolfe and Francesca and that did redeem the book for me.
Give it a go!

I liked this book! I’ve read the previous two and I think I’ve finally, and it took a while, got a hang of this gang.
I did find Emmet and Avery a bit hard to handle at times, her probably more than him. Some of the things she said about him didn’t quite add up to me.
Nevertheless this was a solid second-chance romance story, with plenty of sexy times, as well as heartwarming and wrenching moments.
If you’re a fan of the series this one is right up your alley.

This really isn’t my kind of book, like at all. I’m not sure why I thought it was, maybe because it was labeled as a brothers best friend book.
For the most part this book is well written. I feel like Alex could’ve been a bit more mature but really, for a book that isn’t for me, it was fine.
This book features borderline rape, violence, and all sorts of shady stuff. If you like dark, then give it a go

This was a solid brothers best friend, second chance romance book.
Grady was strong, solid, determined, and devoted.
Collins was strong, independent and different from any female Kaylee has ever written. She was refreshing and I liked her a lot.
I liked the storyline, there wasn't so much drama but that's okay.
Again, this was a solid book, I recommend you give it a try.

I quite enjoyed this book, even if I had a few, quite big problems with it.
First off, mature YA is my thing. I love it. There’s massive shades of Erin Watt’s Royals here, as well as Amo Jones’s Elite Kings saga.
Also, I found it moved quite slowly. It wasn’t really until about 50 or even 60% in that I found things moving. There wasn’t really a purpose to the story before then.
And the relationship with Raven and her guy took WAY too long to develop. It wasn’t until about 90% in she really gets it. It annoyed me a little.
So despite this, why the rating? Because mature YA is my thing and I did enjoy the boys, they’re awesome, especially Captain.
If you enjoy the aforementioned books, you’ll like this, give it a go.

I absolutely LOVED this book! I loved this series and ADORE Reed and Nolan, they’re one of my favourite book couples.
What I loved about this book is that it shows how these characters, these people, aren’t perfect. Things don’t always go to plan and people may not react the way we want or expect them to.
But Reed and Nolan can work it out because they’re awesome.
I loved seeing a look into the future, catching up with the gang as well as seeing Peyton, and yeah, I’m going to be that girl who begs for her book!
This is an awesome book, with especially powerful lines that I know will stay with me for a while.
I highly recommend you give this book, this series, a go, you won’t be disappointed!
