This was an okay read for me. I liked the humour, and Ian and Sam were a great couple, but I wanted more of the mushy stuff. I wanted more after the whole email debarcle, which I didn’t get. I also think the book needed more in Ian’s POV.

But this was an okay book, give it a go if rom-com is your thing.

I quite like this book. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, and heartwarming, it’s funny and it’s sad.
I love Emmy and Luke as well as the supporting characters.
It’s a good second chance romance, worth your time.

I quite enjoyed this book. I'm pretty sure it came across my feed when it was first released but I never bothered to pick it up. It's strange because brothers best friend is right up my alley.
You know how it rolls, so the tension isn't a surprise.
I like how confident Quinn is.
Archer is a little more difficult to get a read on.
I do feel this book perhaps moved a little too slowly for me, but having said that, it didn't feel like it was overly dragged out.
It is a duet and needs to be read as such, and I will be doing so soon!

Whoa! This book is heavy! But it’s pretty great.
Stryder is just...
And Rory is tough, loving, and caring.
I did feel at times this book was a little hard to follow, especially with the shift in time. I think that may have been helped by reading the first book, something I didn’t do. But this book had all the feels and one hell of a powerful love story.

I loved this book! It’s probably my favourite of the series. It’s so nice to read something light, and actually funny which doesn’t depend on gimmicks.
Liam is just... wow! Fourteen-year-old Liam is pretty awesome too.
I love Sadie. I think she’s every single Mum out there, hell, she’s every woman period.
Kate and Amy are terrific and such a light point in this book.
The rest of the supporting characters are fantastic as well.
Seriously, this is a light, hilarious book which needs to be read!

This was a solid finish to the duet, but I felt it lacked a bit of spark from the first. I feel like things weren't really hashed out as well as I'd like, and the conclusion was way too obvious for me.
Still, I like the cast of characters and this was a solid book.

I loved the storyline of this book. It was fascinating but the writing leaves a lot to be desired. It’s stilted and at times it’s also a bit immature.
Still, Blaise is one of my all time favourite book boyfriends.
Tatum is okay, a strong character but doesn’t stand out so much.
With a little polish this book could be amazing.

Holy. Woah! I loved this book! That wasn’t a surprise, but this book... I truly think this is some of Tijan’s best.
Bren is incredible. She’s strong, and brave, and vulnerable. She could be anyone.
Cross is too sweet. I didn’t think anyone could top Mason Kade, but damn he comes close.
I’m not sure if I knew this was a Fallen Crest spin off, but I loved that it was. I loved getting to see the other side of the coin. Crew is different than Fallen Crest. This crew is unapologetic for who they are, and they pull all the punches they need to. It’s straight up and convoluted and it’s great. You know where you stand.
I also loved the first sex scene. I don’t remember Tijan writing a more explicit one, and I loved it.
I truly believe this is some of her best writing, I tabbed the heck out it and have more highlights than I can count. You need this book in your life, you need this crew in your life!

This was a solid book. I liked the premise and I really liked how the story developed. Maram was a surprise to me, but a good one. Idris was a nice counterpoint as was Tala.
One thing that did bug me was the use of technology in this world. You assume it is a Morocco-esque book but then there's all this technology that pulls you out of the world. I don't think it fits and needs to decide if it is sci-fi or fantasy. I do t think the two quite mix.
But the story is solid and I will probably continue with this series.
